Capital should serve humanity. At One Planet Group, we believe that businesses should proactively consider their social impact on their local communities, as well as on humanity at large.
We ascribe to the idea of universal philanthropy, meaning that we believe regardless of how much we have as individuals or companies we should actively harness our resources to give back in a variety of ways, including, but also beyond, financially. We don’t have to be wealthy to be philanthropists.
One Planet Group donates to a number of organizations with which it has built ongoing meaningful relationships. These organizations support causes that we care deeply about with a primary focus on organizations that center racial healing and unity, and the advancement of the equality of women and men, although we also support nonprofits working on youth education, advancement of the arts, and immigrant and human rights.
We additionally set aside multiple “Service Days” a year for all our employees, offering paid time off to volunteer. These beliefs in service, building community, and the betterment of humanity are inspired by timeless spiritual teachings. The idea is to live our beliefs in action.

One Planet Group is thrilled to kick off the annual Holidays with a Purpose campaign, an employee-driven initiative that channels the festive spirit into philanthropic action. This special program, conceived and championed by our dedicated team members, aims to raise $200,000+ in support of two exceptional organizations: Starfish International and Parent University. Every dollar raised will be matched by One Planet Group up-to $100,000.

BahaiTeachings.org is a multimedia content platform where individuals share their personal perspectives and insights as they strive to implement the Baha’i teachings into their everyday lives. Baha’is believe that the central teaching of the Baha’i Faith, the oneness of humanity, will ultimately usher in the long-promised age of global justice, peace and collective human maturation. The primary purpose of BahaiTeachings.org is to help advance this humanitarian process.
The spirit of giving is a cornerstone to One Planet Group’s culture. In addition to financial contributions, we offer team members up to nine days annually, to take part in volunteer initiatives. These are paid days off, in which team members can support any cause of their choice, with the exception of political organizations.
Office locations also organize group activities to build community amongst team members. Past activities have included: clean-up at a local creek, blood donation, volunteering at local food banks, visiting children in homes, and clothing drives.

The Tahirih Justice Center is a national nonprofit that has served over 30,000 immigrant survivors fleeing gender-based violence since 1997. Our interdisciplinary, trauma-informed model of service is now delivered from five locations, and we’re committed to serving as many immigrant survivors as possible.
Lidè Haiti takes a whole-person approach to building capacity, empowerment, and resiliency among at-risk Haitian adolescent girls who have been denied equal access to education. Currently serving over 1,200 girls in 8 locations across rural Haiti, Lidè programs in the creative arts, education, and health reach girls ages 11 to 21.
Dedicated to providing a well-rounded and quality education for Gambian girls and boys, Starfish International works with roughly 150 students annually. They have been in service for twelve years providing world-class education that is focused on service to humanity while also offering international service-learning opportunities for volunteers.
Capital should serve humanity. By considering the impact of our work, we have the opportunity to add a layer of meaning to our professional lives.
